What is your favourite thing about performing?
My favourite thing is definitely the buzz. That adrenaline when you walk out on stage is just incredible. I also love it when I get to inspire the audience to achieve their dreams, and it’s an amazing feeling when I see people in the crowd smiling. And all of the things that lead up to the performance; getting ready, soundcheck, rehearsals - everything is just so exciting.

Your working on new music at the moment, what can you tell us about it so far?
Well I just released my debut single ‘Turn The Music Loud’ which I’m really happy about, but it’s so nice to know that I’m releasing my own songs which can show the real me. The kind of path I’m taking sound-wise is that ‘rock/pop’ feel that Sabrina Carpenter has. I’d just like to be a bit different to other artists.

If you could perform alongside any other artist, who would you pick?
Probably Sabrina Carpenter, as that’s the kind of music I sing and write!

What are you looking forward to most about Always The Sun Festival 2017?
I love performing at festivals, and to know that Always The Sun is a bit closer to home means a lot. Also my performance is going to be a bit different to my usual ones, so I’m really excited!

What advice would you give to other young performers wanting to be successful?
Be yourself. Always be yourself. A lot of people think they should copy other artists that do well and instantly think the same success will come to them, but truth is, it doesn’t. You have to be unique, and you have to stay true to yourself and stick to your morals. Thing is, if we were all the same, life would be pretty boring…
