Dorking’s Vinyl Staircase played the Andertons Music Stage at last year’s Always The Sun, but will be bringing their indie psych to the Park Stage for #ATS17!
It’s fair to say 2017 has been a massive year for you guys, what’s been your highlight so far?
2017’s been really fun so far, the main highlight has been getting on some really cool shows that have always been out of reach for us, especially in London. Like gigs we would have bought tickets to anyway e.g Bad Vibrations shows.
The psychedelic rock scene is thriving at the moment, it must be an exciting time to be a part of the genre?
Yeah it’s a really friendly scene with loads of cools people. Really nice to see our friends Palm Honey [playing the Park stage] and Drug Store Romeos [playing the Andertons stage] doing so well.
Your latest single ‘German Wings’ embraces a heavier sound than some of your earlier releases, is this what we can expect from your music going forwards?
Light and shade baby, light and shade.
You’ve played a huge amount of shows over the last few years, is there a gig that stands out as your favourite and if so, why?
Stand outs would be supporting LA Witch at The Lexington, and also our headline show at Boileroom a couple of weeks ago which was a load of fun (stage invasion etc.)
You’re based locally to Guildford, how does it feel playing a festival pretty much in your hometown?
So good to have an incredible festival near us! We’d definitely be going anyway but it’s an honour to be included on the line up.
